...bribery, threats, and corruption of Border Patrol?

Cartel to border agents:

that's the real problem. motivated, of course, by american employers happy to cut their labor costs by taking advantage of such immigrants.

I went to school in Europe almost 40 years ago for a year. I had a date I had to leave by and I never even thought of just overstaying the date. You just weren't allowed to.

So how do we keep people from coming for a month and staying forever?

Or should we just do away with dates and say if we let you in you can stay as long as you like.

Or people who come in via Canada? There are a lot of undocumented people who aren't from Mexico or Central America.
