Do the Deplorables know the Federal Hiring Freeze screws the Veterans they claim to "love"?
The federal workforce is about 31% former military veterans.
Veterans receive preference in hiring. IF we have a Cert with names of people qualified for a position we are trying to fill, we have to give first preference to Veterans.
Veterans who sustain injuries as a result of combat, or are disabled as a result of a service connected disability don't even need to compete. If they qualify for a position and make the Cert, they get hired...often without even having to go through an interview.
In fact, in most cases, even after we select a candidate that we want to hire, HR must first run a PPP to see if there is a Veteran on their list that qualifies. If there is, the Veteran gets the job.
I wonder how many Veterans voted for Trump?
I wonder how many Deplorables know the impact a hiring freeze has on Veterans seeking employment.
Thousands of Veterans each year join the Federal Workforce, and not all of them in the DoD. Many work in Forestry, IT, Fire Prevention, Human Resources, EPA, NHA, etc.
So, if you were a Veteran looking for a job with the Federal Government, or know someone who is, tell them to thank the Retrumplicans.
