https://thinkprogress.org/trump-voter-fraud-lie-ad102f21729c#.eg19lhybzPresident Trump falsely claimed during a meeting with congressional leaders Monday that he would have won the popular vote if it were not for three to five million illegal votes.
At least three sources familiar with the meeting told the Washington Post about Trumps lie, which occurred during a private reception at the White House. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) refused to confirm Trumps comment, but said they discussed different electoral college, popular votes.
There is only one popular vote count, and Trump lost it. The final count puts Hillary Clintons vote total close to three million higher than Trumps.

In reality, over 128 million votes were cast in 2016, but there have been just four documented cases of voter fraud. At least three of those illegal voters supported Trump.

According to a 2017 preview published by the Brennan Center for Justice, at least 33 bills to restrict access to registration and voting have been introduced in 16 states as of January 17. Nine states Arkansas, Indiana, Maine, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Virginia, and Wyoming are already considering strict voter ID legislation, despite court rulings and studies finding that requiring photo ID at the polls is discriminatory and reduced minority turnout.

(68 posts)Not that the Troll Kings court would be this sneaky, but this investigation would give the Justice Department or some other federal entity full access to every states voter rolls and records. Two possible destinations for this info are (1) creation of a database (just for easy analysis of the alien voter problem, of course) that wouldnt need the authorization withheld from Pompeos giant lifestyle database (of course, adding such info to the voter investigation database would help them spot aliens, right?), or (2) this new info could be addded to the NSAs database. (That was once the Total Imformayion Awareness database that Poindexter wanted but couldnt get authorization for. The software was given to the NSA, who dont need no stinking authorization.)
Any way you cut it, its a lot of information carefully gathered, verified, and formatted using your state tax money that could easily complete, fill out, verify, or begin a huge domestic database without any need for the congressional authorization that theyve never been able to get.
All this being justified by the simple fact that people move from one state to another all the time, and few states bother to ask or notice.
An odd thought: for an opposing party to take significant advantage of this, theyd have to have a pretty good database of all the voter rolls from all the states.
Which is silly. Nobody has that, right?
