Limbaugh says Soros, 'Democrat Party', Hillary paid "mindless twats" $$$ billions to protest.

This morning, less than 10 minutes into his first program, Rush Limbaugh, on 600 radio stations, called the protestors “mindless twats”.

A short time later he said the Washington protestors were so packed in it was “sardine city, can you imagine the aroma?” Limbaugh said.

Sorry. Why repeat what he says? Because there is no single voice in media more responsible for this mess we’re in, and because 88 major universities support 257 of his 600 radio stations and something can be done about that.

Paraphrasing Limbaugh:

-- Feminazis, he says, are now surpassing men in vulgarity and disgusting behavior.

-- Feminism is a movement that allows unattractive women to feel good.

-- “career deranged leftists” — mindless, childish behavior — cry and whine and moan

Saturday’s protests were incredible for encouraging citizens and Democratic representatives to fight Trump and the Republicans. They sent a message to news editors and producers everywhere. They sent a message to Republican congressmen and senators in general and give courage to the few Republicans who might cross the isle for votes on Trump cabinet members, Obamacare, and Supreme Court justices.

One of the most important functions of Republican media is to minimize, short circuit, and shout over the feedback that a healthy functioning democracy depends on. Like protests.

Now, just like with Occupy Wall Street and when millions of protestors who got into the streets to try to stop the Iraq disaster, a few hundred national and local blowhards on 1200 radio stations are doing that again.

They get a free speech free ride on the only major medium with no political counterpart, to attack and mischaracterize protestors, their tactics, and their objectives. They intimidate and enable media and politicians to ignore protestors. They encourage local officials and police to break the protests up. They will go on for weeks if they need to until the images of hundreds of thousands of peaceful American demonstrators fade, are replaced by pictures of a few idiots and agent-provocateurs breaking store windows, and things are back to ‘normal’.

For months Limbaugh’s even been claiming anti-Trump protestors were “bought and paid for” by Hillary Clinton and George Soros. Last week, before the march, he even suggested the protestors were getting $1500 to $2500 each. So 3 million protestors would cost George Soros about $6BIL!

(Suggestion: next time you get into an argument with a Republican turn it to Limbaugh and point out what a liar he is to keep saying the protestors were bought and paid for.)

And, according to Limbaugh, the dishonest ‘liberal’ media compared Trump and Obama inauguration crowd sizes by using a photo taken three hours before Trump’s inauguration with one taken at the moment of Obama’s inauguration! That will be repeated at the dinner table, on the bus, and in the workplace until it is true for tens of millions.

The amazing thing is that at least 257 of the 600 or so Limbaugh stations that have been blasting the country with this kind of crap for the last 30 years depend on at least 88 universities to broadcast sports on them. Sure, it’s Limbaugh’s right to be a lying asshole on the radio, but that doesn’t mean those universities have to keep helping RW talk radio attract advertisers to pay for it.

Students and communities can force discussion of these absurd relationships between publicly funded universities and radio stations that deny global warming, try to defund and privatize public education, and spew misogyny all day. Those relationships are completely antithetical to the values and goals usually stated in university mission statements.

Those 88 universities are legitimate locations to protest the Trump agenda until they begin looking for apolitical alternatives to broadcast sports.
