Rightwingers are letting themselves feel righteous about pictures of signs from the Women's March on Washington being dumped in the streets. Snopes.com is calling bullshit on their fake concern.
I was unable to share the photo accompanying the post; but, here's the background on what really happened:

Regardless, one might fairly argue that a form of protest involving the dumping of litter on the ground for others to clean up is an unseemly one. However, the National Park Service noted that, overall, the crowds at both events (i.e., the inauguration and the Women's March) were "tidier" than those of previous years.

The Park Service actually complimented the marchers:

(82,849 posts)Someone mentioned on Facebook that there were no arrests in her neck of the woods, and someone had to post a story from Eureka CA that the cops had made four arrests there. I went to the link, and it appears that the cops ran in four people for failing to get out of the street when the cops ordered them to. Not exactly a Bonnie and Clyde caliber crime spree.

(11,243 posts)RW need the #alternativefact that they were littering because they got nothing else. Their base IS gullible, so they just crop and post. The march was huuuuuge, peaceful and effective. So they gotta make a bad thing up to smear them. It's just how they roll..... Just post an uncropped photo as a reply. They don't do well at words. Pictures and memes are your best defense.
This is good.
