Who that was taking a photo. It isn't like women could have a meaningful role in anything.

So emblematic of our country - all I can do is shake my head and say holy shit

And fitting for the inauguration of a buffoon who won over an eminently qualified woman candidate.

Not the ever-changing political tags adopted by another white male politician with a name. Stick with the subject: believe it or not, it's important; half the voters have a stake in the naming of this "unidentified woman."

The Senator who was most productive in getting bills passed this past year (along with her Minnesota colleague, what's his name) is neither recognizable nor worthy of naming:

WASHINGTON -- Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken both ranked in the top 10 most productive senators on Capitol Hill for the number of bills passed and sent to the president's desk, according to legislative data from GovTrack.

Klobuchar ranked No. 1, authoring 27 bills that were sent to President Obama's desk in the last term. Franken ranked No. 6 with 22 bills, according to data compiled this week.

I've been pointing out the same phenomenon of prominent women remaining nameless to my husband lately, and he's been rather appalled that he hadn't been noticing it. We were watching an old movie on TCM, and he asked who the female lead was. I responded that I didn't know (though her face was very familiar), because only the lead male and two minor male actors in the film were listed. I clicked the "Info" button to show him. It occurs frequently, as I've been able to point out to him in the intervening time.

WE EXIST. WE HAVE NAMES. Step away, old white guys in the picture. The star here is a woman, and her name is SENATOR AMY KLOBUCHAR.

I looked him up, expecting to see an apology but saw none.

It is also possible that as the photographer, he wasn't responsible for writing the caption.

That someone is either uninformed (i.e. Fox watcher) or deliberately acting ignorant (Fox personality).
