"Alternative facts"...this describes Trump supporters to a T

It explains why Trump supporters have to invoke "alternative facts" and attack those who challenge their views on what is true and factual. They would rather believe in falsehoods than deal with the discomfort of contradiction...Trump supporters are more interested in pacifying their own anxieties by indulging themselves in a fantasy world of "alternative facts" and falsehoods than actually tackling hard problems through an unbiased examination of credible evidence...regardless where that evidence leads and what myths and lies may be exposed as a result.

Researchers say they've figured out what makes people reject science, and it's not ignorance

People treat facts as relevant more when the facts tend to support their opinions. When the facts are against their opinions, they don't necessarily deny the facts, but they say the facts are less relevant.

We find that people will take a flight from facts to protect all kinds of belief including their religious belief, their political beliefs, and even simple personal beliefs

...as a true Packers fan, I'm happy to see them move on to Super Bowl in a few weeks. The way they crushed the Falcons. Anyone who says otherwise - we'll you're just haters who don't understand the power of the cheesehead !

I am young, intensely good looking, wealthy, an amazing athlete, and my IQ is 220. No brag, just fact, as Walter Brennan used to say.

Not a fact anywhere in sight, yet Christian beliefs are imposed on our society on a daily basis.

Misogyny, bigotry - all firmly grounded in the Buy-bull.
