It's bad enough when the car thermometer reads 101 when it's been parked overnight in the shade. And it's not too surprising that leaving the shade and driving to the end of the block brings it up to 104, they did say that today would be a scorcher. But at one point the thing jumped to 106, then back to 104 within a couple of blocks.
It was at 104 when I got in to come home, and near the same intersection where it spiked earlier it jumped to 108. By the time I pulled into my parking space it was back to 104.
All this is within a radius of less than one mile. I'm wondering if there might be something emanating from that intersection's traffic signals that could cause the jump. Or maybe we have some weird Bermuda Triangle thing going on. Eeek.

(53,339 posts)If yes, round up the usual pusspects. With a little interrogation, they'll soon hack up the truth and pawnt out the ringleader. Be sure to make them spit out where they got their mechatnical/feloctronics skills. We can't afford to let this kind of thing spread.
