where Lady Violet, played by Maggie Smith, expresses complete befuddlement at the concept of a weekend. The servants all work seven days a week and are on call twenty-four hours, and the gentry are not tied to regular working hours; most of their time is spent on what we'd call leisure activities.

I'm sure Suburban woman likewise has no concept of regular working hours.

or something like it, It IS what the protester would have have said if that conservative was a MAN, but, oh no..Along comes a woman and she HAS to have her sex mentioned, ieven though it has ZILCH to do with the issue. If you're honest with yourselves, you'll admit that it's rno more "acceptable" to use sexist slurs on conservative women than it is to use racial slurs o n conservative people of color....I don't see anyone here doing that, and of course they should not.

Please consider the similarities between these two oppressed groups in our society. ..Race and Gender are both ""conditions of birth" those born into them can NOT help. Like people of color, they should be judged for the ' content of their character', and not the bodies they were born with.

I know that, in our culture, it's not always easy to keep our criticisms and insults race and gender neutral, but progressives, rarely do the easy thing. Instead, we do the right thing, or at least try to.
