1. No - those are alternative opinions or hypothesis.

In the world of Alternative Facts, it is unclear that the Titanic actually sank and there is no indisputable basis to say New Orleans was flooded.

Of course, I just get so confused these days - reality seems to have a greasy skin on it and it is hard to grasp it firmly any more.

Step 1 was the demolition of public eduction and the work to diminish critical thinking. But that didn't get everyone. Some critical thinking capability survived.

Step 2 was to start filling that void with right wing bullchit in the uncontested format of a post fairness doctrine media environment. But that didn't get everyone. Some critical thinking capability survived.

Now we're into Step 3 - poisoning the raw materials of critical thinking. It's going to get harder and hard to know what is fact and what is fiction in this rabbit hole being created. And the single minded goal is to get more and more people, even the critical thinking, to say "I just don't know what to believe anymore"...

Some people worry that Trump is going to punch a button and start a nuclear war. My big worry is that he's going to win the war on facts...and that's a one way ticket to the Dark Ages (except for the top 400 oligarchs of American society. They'll do just fine).
