Suppose the GOP Congress does turn on Trump. Which side should we be on?

...who, ultimately, is the greater threat? Trump himself? Or the Republican party, which was moving towards authoritarianism and racism long before Donald came along? Suppose Trump continues to unravel, and the GOP turns to the Dems and says, "we have to get rid of this maniac", making it seem like the American version of the Glorious Revolution of 1688. Should we laugh in their faces? Tell them, you picked him, live with it, bitches? Negotiate with them--say, on entitlements and the Supreme Court? Would the GOP ever compromise on, say, the Court--for *any* reason? I suspect that the Dems in fact would go along without *any* guarantees from the GOP, in the name of "bipartisanship". But I suspect that this dilemma will be facing us, and maybe sooner rather than later.
