Women's march protesters leave their signs at Trump's DC hotel
By Brooke Seipel - 01/21/17 05:58 PM EST

Dozens of signs from protesters in the Women's March on Washington have been left outside of President Trump's hotel in Washington, D.C.

Photos show one of the entrances to Trump International Hotel covered in the leftover protest signs.

The protests in D.C. are estimated to have drawn 500,000 people, far more than original estimates. Protests in Chicago and Los Angeles also exceeded estimates.

Parade routes had to be altered in D.C. and Chicago after more people showed up than expected and the demonstrations became a safety issue.

The crowd for the march in D.C. was originally estimated to be about 200,000, but organizers on Saturday said the turnout ended up being about 500,000, according to the Associated Press.
