No confirmation as yet. Will link if confirmation appears.
I hope he suffers some sort of repercussion for his actions. Arse.
I look forward to the link.

(21,206 posts)My hubby works for a large airline carrier and I looked at the standbye to fly free. All the flights are oversold! Even if I fly somewhere to catch a connecting flights Dulles, National and Baltimore they are all sold out!
Chump maybe be happy today but tomorrow he will be miserable seeing the millions protesting him all over the US and foreign countries. Too bad our media will not cover it though to not upset the drumpenfuhrer. But he'll hear about it!

I think it might get more coverage than is anticipated (hopefully not due to infiltrators). Fingers crossed!

(34,138 posts)Word is (from a post here on DU quoting a deBlasio person) that only 250,000 people showed up today. I bet that included a high percentage of protestors.
It would be incredible if MORE people show up for the Women's March than for the Short Fingered Vulgarian's inauguration!
I'm worried about the March here in Tallahassee. The weather is supposed to be bad - 80% chance of rain and some severe weather. They've moved the march to be slightly shorter (just over a mile) and to convene in an indoor facility on the Florida A & M campus rather than the Capitol Complex. Some people are complaining and some are saying they won't come to Tallahassee but stay in their local community to march.

I'm still going but my husband will drop me and my scooter off at the end of the march, same as he was going to do at the Old Florida Capitol. He'll then find a parking space and march part of the way and meet me at the facility.

(36,896 posts)He would really obsess over it. Tweets galore!
I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow, despite the change in venue (and the potentially bad weather).

(9,771 posts)I'd spend a lot of time in lock up! Firefox had been crashing on me lately, from all the tabs, so I've been using Chrome more. Seems to handle it far better.
I also have tried bookmarking more, but then I have to keep my bookmarks organized. Not enough time in a day for it all...

I realize the march isnt about her, but she should see how inspired women are now to be politically active.

(24,149 posts)And the way Trump insulted, interrupted, threatened and lied about her -- a woman ten times more qualified than him -- is very much motivating... especially considering his stance on women's issues and bodies. For many people, it's a lot about her. And I hope she does see the photos!

I don't think he'll stay in office long, but while he's there, let's make his life a misery.
Use your feet to march, your voices to sing...and I hope the White House get surrounded every Friday when he wants to leave to go to the Dark Tower of Mordor as he seeks the one ring to rule them all (so he can give it to his buddy, Vlad)
He told us in his speech, he says it on the website, he wants to be the law and order president.
I hate to tell him, I'm not a member of an organized party, I'm a Democrat. And I'll take my Democracy messy, big, and full of love.

(3,059 posts)Thanks so much! Really made me feel better. I suspect many of us are boycotting the inauguration...I know I sure as hell am not watching any part of it, all week-end. So I have no idea as to how big or small the crowd was. Although I tend to think it was probably small, 'cause someone here posted up a picture his camp released and the background crowd picture was from Obama's 2009 Inauguration. But I will be watching this march!! Let's hope the press gives it the coverage it should get, and not just a 10 second blurb about a protest march.

(12,904 posts)That my niece took a last minute trip to the Women's March this afternoon!
I sent her a few texts about how proud I was of her, and her six 30-something girlfriends traveling with her. I reminded her that she will not only be marching for herself, but for millions of others who are unable to be there, and that she is marching as the voice (and feet) of millions who have come before, and of millions who will come after them. I then told her to go and get their picture taken sitting with Einstein, like we did in 2009.
And I told her that Hillary would make a terrific name for the little baby girl that will be marching along with them, inside her mommy's tummy.

(865 posts)Pink Pussy Power!
Hey, can we have a pink smiley face, clapping hands, and/or hats-off emoticon(s)? Is that asking too much of DU to add those? I have no idea what effort that would require.
Thanks!
And here's what I'd like to believe is, if multiplied by tens or hundreds of Ks, a family portrait of DU:
