Am I wrong to think that we've lost, and Rove/Kochs et al have won?

Been around a long time. Remember every moment of the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon election; before that Sputnik, after that JFK, MLK, RFK. Oh, and the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.

I recall LBJ, and his passionate work for civil rights, but Vietnam (lottery number 247 here, second year of the lottery - you never forget).

Like all of us, my life is filled with memories. But with the Citizens United decision, I think the American dream is OVER. Actually, it may have died with the Supreme Court granting the election to W. in 2000. Probably the biggest thing in my life, and I go back a ways, obviously.

At this point, I am exhausted. But I will continue to fight for decency, against the obvious War on Women (some of you will remember my Mom post), and for Hope and Change.

But I need to be where I love. In two years, I hope to retire here.

ruling is very telling on how corrupt and out of touch with sanity the SCOTUS is, unless this is what they want for the country, corporate USA, Inc. That said, how can anyone even possibly believe that mega-buck individuals/corporations could give a F about the country other than to enhance their own wealth and greed. That's all it's about today in USA, Inc. $$$, and the hell with individuals and the country. What a shame.

will leave no stone unturned to win. To them the ends justify the means. The worse part is they have been allowed a free hand at stealing elections. Unless we have a miracle and get verifiable elections, we will lose.

4. Rove/Koch and their $bazillions are troubling but that wont be enough to buy this election.

We are likely to retain the WH and make significant gains in Congress. Demographics are on our side and the future looks bright. The Republicans are the ones who should be worried. Their party is in turmoil, their candidate is an idiot, they have a renegade group electing unelectable candidates in the primaries, they are a mess... the money and the media are the only things keeping them in this thing.

I know you are tired, we all are, but this is no time to give up. This election could be pivotal.

7. They spent a gazillion dollars in Wisconsin and Walker could only win by a small margin

This is why we can't give up. Yes Rove, Romney, and Kochs are going to outspend and tell lies over and over.

A lot of people aren't going to be fooled though. We need to do what we can do to counter the lies and get Dems to the polls.

10. USA is transforming into something really un-American, if that makes any sense.

USA has totally lost its way, at this point in time. But it's a transformation. All I know is, I'm staying away until things get better there.
