Schumer: Democrats will fight Trump 'tooth and nail'
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) warned ahead of Friday's inauguration that Democrats are preparing for battle with the incoming Trump administration.
"On most areas, we're going to have to fight him, and we'll fight him tooth and nail," the Senate's top Democrat told NBC News’s Today Show. "The last thing he said there is he wants to drain the swamp. ...This swamp is getting more filled with alligators.”
Schumer pointed to Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and Trump's Cabinet nominees as two early fights between the incoming Trump administration and Senate Democrats.
