General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIf Republicans think the media is liberal, why do they believe everything they say?
How can they continue to call the media liberal when they put Republicans on all the talk shows?
Republican talking points on every show?
Republican distraction issues elevated to national news whenever they want?
And generally support all of their world views?
How could they consider the media liberal when they did everything they could to lie before the war in Iraq? They did more than the Bush Administration to pump the lies of a threat, hide the evidence of the Niger Forgery, cover up the fact the US was spying on the UN before the vote. Why did the liberal media cover Bush's ass?
Don't they ever ask themselves these questions?
The corporate media is full of crap, the propaganda arm of the Anti-Christ and I sure as hell don't want to be blamed for it.
But how is it the Republicans blame us for that crap?
Just because every once in a while the corporate media says something that is a fact that they don't like, then all of a sudden the 'liberal' media can't be trusted?
Why do they trust everything they said about 9/11, Iraq and Afghanistan, elections!, bank bailouts etc?
If no one likes the media, why are we letting them create reality in this country? Why is it that they determine what the issues of the day are? Why are we following along on every stupid ass divide and conquer story they come up with?
We don't need to talk about all the petty issues, we need to talk about the big one...RAISE TAXES ON THE WEALTHY NOW! Stop stealing our social security trust fund for your wars and Big Government programs like Homeland Security and the TSA.

(27,461 posts)it's just a ploy to pressure them to go more and more in their direction, to prove they're not. Just like the greedheads, they know the Democrats aren't "anti-busiiness", but as long as they keep saying that, the Democrats will give them more and more, to prove they're not.

(67,109 posts)horrible catastrophe and they thank god for saving them. Like WTF, how about all the people that got killed, all the destruction, yeah, right, your god is really really benevolent. What a crock.
And then the corporate media will air and air to USA, Inc. this BS that "God is good." This is such a moronic country in many ways thanks to the R's and the dopes that love them.

(8,582 posts)They are covering Romney's ass right now. Romney can lie and lie and we never hear them point this out. But when Obama says something about the private sector doing better than the public, all hell breaks loose and the spin starts and we hear all about how Obama is backtracking on this. This when it's all BS. But Romney can say 30 lies in a week and no one calls him on it.

(67,109 posts)that's a good idea too, maybe we can mix some ideas together and come up with a solution that's about 80% right.
However, today, it's a bunch of BS and hot air from the republicans appeasing that moronic factor of the populace that is ignorant enough to fall for the republican games and vote them into office for greed and authoritarian behavior.
What is really sad are those in the populace that have nothing that are victimized by the republicans and say thank you.

(3,888 posts)it is a philosophy based on the ideas of the enlightenment which includes, for some, the idea that old social, political, economic, and religious relationships aren't valid and that the "new" liberal world is based on social darwinian, pseudo-scientific notions that the world is controlled by "natural" laws or laws of the market-place. for those who label the media liberal, these "laws" negate individual morality.
they discount the ideas surrounding the social contract and they don't want democratic participation (also ideas associated with the enlightenment) and they have poisoned the word liberal so that many americans see it only as a negative thing.
it is very frustrating to see such slanted information being touted as news.

(158 posts)it's something they don't agree with. It's amazing really. Conservatives can nod along with the MSM until there's a story that conflicts with their beliefs. Then they rage against "That Liberal Media!" No need to examine their beliefs or understanding. They can remain cocooned in their conservative bubble.

(7,968 posts)Actually I don't think they share any world view. I don't think they are capable of a "world view" actually.
