Trump is basically an idiot. I noticed that the journalists at Obama's press conference would ask a multiple of related questions when called upon. Trump can't remember more than one question at a time. And if he does answer, it's in 'republicaneese' - a three word bumper sticker answer that doesn't mean a damn thing.

10. Why the long pauses.

You can tell that President Obama was THINKING about each answer before he responded. Words carry weight. Words have power and this president knows that you have to walk a tight rope when putting YOUR words out there. Yes, his pauses sometimes got on my nerves, but what he said following those pauses never did because they always, for the most part , made sense.
