The fact that he's doing this now is showing how he values the press and can take the tough questions without throwing tantrums or abusing its necessary power.
He's trying to set an example. Incoming won't get it at all. But it certainly shows the contrast between someone who respects the government and the country and...whatever the hell is coming.

(11,257 posts)americans get more than enough iodine from iodized salt. Otherwise we would have cretinism running rampant. you only need a small amount.
The rest of your post seems to be almost tongue in cheek enough to believe that it was written sarcastically. Please tell me you were just throwing out this stupid stuff about bromine and iodine in baked goods to see if you would catch someone with it.

Apparently, you don't care to read the info at the link nor what I've posted. Your choice. But others might find it useful and choose to research for themselves in private something they didn't know before. Your censorship is hereby DENIED.

(11,257 posts)the fact that the excerpt you posted seems to think that baked goods have elemental iodine and bromine in them is monumental scientific illiteracy.
That others "might find it useful" is what is scary about it.
Go ahead and post it if it makes your day, but I need to call out bullshit where I have some knowledge of it and where it might harm others who don't know better. Otherwise, I'm as bad as the Trump-enabling media.

(34,845 posts)Something like, "Democrats are not afraid of press conferences." There. That says a lot without being directly insulting.
