the attorney general decides not to pursue further charges against Sandusky, the former defensive coordinator and his estate will still face a series of lawsuits brought by his accusers, who now number at least 12. Many have said they will sue the coach as well as Penn State University and Second Mile, Sandusky's charity for troubled youth, from which he culled his victims.
Sandusky's wife, Dottie Sandusky, has obtained her own legal counsel; it is unclear how she will be affected by the potential lawsuits.
Rominger and Amendola both hinted following Friday's verdict that they would appeal the jury's decision.

(39,961 posts)And she said some fairly harsh things about the victim she nearly caught in the act with Sandusky in the bathroom with.
She was pissed they had to pay for his plane ticket, and his meals.
She's pretty resentful, which leads me to believe she knew.

(53,661 posts)Husband robs, cheats or harms, so long as they keep that money coming in. From my experience dealing with such, maintaining social position and wealth is everything. Anyone who threatens that is the enemy and they will lash out at them. She needs a lawyer now. The civil suits may put a lien on everything she owns, depending on the laws of the state. Just before he was arrested the first time, and that took a long time, I believe he handed over their home and the rest of it to her and the family. I am not sure what assets the attorneys will go afer in this. I found videos of the statements of the attorney general and the other state officials who did this case. They said it took them years. It will be more years before the boys get any monetary relief, but it may happen. There is a price to be paid for indulging oneself as he did. And a price to be paid for standing by while evil is done under one's roof. I'm sorry to say, and I may have to work on myself, but I feel no pity for this couple or their friends at this time. I've seen too many people hurt by people like this who laugh and giggle when called to account, further demeaning their victims. Nothing wipes that away and those boys may feel some relief but may never really heal. Sandusky and his cohorts made sure their lives seemed worthless.

(135,425 posts)That makes her an accessory before/during/after the fact.
Also, the adopted son says the husband abused him--maybe he's ready to bring charges against her, as well. Maybe that's why the prosecution held him back; they intend to use him to take her down, too?
If she avoids prosecution, she nonetheless can't avoid the stand in a civil suit, but a good lawyer might be able to work out a settlement so she can keep some assets (and then the lawyer will take those). Serves her right. I do believe she enabled that pervert husband of hers--and calling the victims "whiners" and "difficult?" That "Blame the victim" strategy was a great big failure.

Another said she came into a room, but nothing was happening while she was there.
The prosecutor said after the trial that he had no evidence that would cause him to charge her.

(135,425 posts)Like I said, the burden of proof is less onerous.
Maybe they'll troop a jury out to the house, put them in assorted rooms in the house, and have a ten year old child cry out from the basement?

She hooked her wagon to that beast, and now needs what they accumulated to live out her days, so lawyers will try to keep what's left.
Ironically, the lawyers will end up with the lion's share/
She should have dumped him and started her new life while she was younger, but she chose to look the other way and keep him

(4,033 posts)Attorney General in November, she may be able to get a grand jury seated to look at this issue. I'm hoping. IMO, I think the reason Corbett didn't go after Sandusky, was because Corbett knew he would need big donors for his campaign, and in no way do you want to offend Penn Staters while you're looking for those donors.

(191 posts)She was an ADA in Philly and just joined the state AG's office. She posted something on FB about having her fingers crossed (for a guilty verdict) and then congratulating the AG's staff. I wanted to post nasty remarks about her bastard of a father and his failure to act when he was AG, but I just ended up unfriending her instead. Life's too short to deal with Repukes, anyway.

As a child of a father who slept with his underage students, is it my fault?
