Trump isn't letting the John Lewis "thing" go

Last edited Tue Jan 17, 2017, 05:18 PM - Edit history (2)

You don't need a link. just Google it. It's everywhere.

This horrible human being continues to attack John Lewis, a man who is one of the best of the best.

Trump has a pathological NEED to WIN. Screw the facts. Screw his opponent of the moment. Screw reality.

Trump has a desperate need to "win" this thing, whatever "this thing" is in his mind.

Sorry, you horrible Orange Monster. You're not going to win this one.

I don't have a clue as to whether or not you know who John Lewis is.

Here are some basic facts. John Lewis is a congressman from Georgia, and has been for about 30 years.

He marched with MLK, was beaten, jailed and had his head broken open by Selma Alabama police/thugs in 1965.

He is a man who understands suffering.

He is a man who understands being suffocated by the Jim Crow South.

He is a man who who rose up from being trodden down.

He is a man who is respected by every decent human being in America, and probably in much of the world.

He is a man who you believe that you can just attack with no consequences.

He is a man who is a symbol of American greatness.

He is a man whose very existence makes you look like the small, ignorant fool that you are.

Enjoy your presidency, Mr. Trump. The day will soon arrive when you are going to be vilified by virtually everyone on this planet. And you may get thrown out of office if there enough Republicans with enough courage (or fear enough for their own reelections) to impeach you.

You will have only one option left to you while you still (illegitimately) hold power and the title of "President." You can give the order to nuke everyone who has dissed you. And yes, we all know you can give that order.

But give this some thought. American military people are not fools. Do you really believe that most of them will follow the orders of a madman?

Try to understand this if you are capable of doing so. You have placed yourself on the path to the Hague where you will be held answerable. And yes, I know that you don't know what the Hague is and that you couldn't care less. Nonetheless ...

On edit: Mr. Trump, try to grasp this if you can. John Lewis is a giant who will be remembered as such through the ages. If you are remembered at all, it will be as a malignant boil on the ass of humanity.

He is a totally self-centered 70 year old infant with an infant's need for constant attention.

However, Lincoln DID say that one can fool some of the people all of the time.

questions the legitimacy of his presidency. We need more people like John Lewis to get under his skin so he breaks & has a total meltdown like he did during the elections.

Some years ago, Mr Trump invited me to lunch for a one-to-one meeting at his apartment in Manhattan. We had not met before and I accepted. Even before the starters arrived he began telling me about how he had asked a number of people for help after his latest bankruptcy and how five of them were unwilling to help. He told me he was going to spend the rest of his life destroying these five people.

He didn’t speak about anything else and I found it very bizarre.

the graphic novel John Lewis wrote with Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell. I highly recommend it. While reading I thought briefly that Trump should read it, it is a graphic novel so very few words and he could maybe handle it. It does jump around in time and he might have trouble with that. But when it got to the part about learning non-violence for protests (like in the movie The Butler), I knew this is wrong for Trump. He could never understand these people willing to be calm and non-responsive to verbal abuse, threats and physical violence. A lot of people could not handle but it Trump is probably incapable of understanding that sort of personal commitment and strength. Actually, I am quite sure he could NOT understand, it is not about him.

Rep. Lewis questioned his legitimacy BECAUSE of the role of Russia in the election. Putin's orange boy toy cannot handle being called out on that. Keith Olbermann keeps saying that we need to keep pushing the Russia button because it makes Drumpf's head explode.

I wish more legislators had Rep. Lewis' courage to speak out. We have a BIG problem here that goes beyond the 70-year-old manchild being installed as president--he is being installed because of Russian interference. That is very, very scary.

I think it betrays a certain deep-seated fear that he knows he really is a phony and a fraud. Do we know if he's really his father's son? Maybe he really is illegitimate!
