trump's fake hair would be blowing up in the air and his lizard faced wife would look ridiculous too. The only bad thing is that the orange puke would claim that the weather was to blame for poor attendance.

Water conducts heat away from the body 25 times faster than air, so although hypothermia is usually associated with freezing temperatures, it is also associated with temperature in the 40s coupled with wind and/or rain. https://www.princeton.edu/~oa/safety/hypocold.shtml

Being wet with the temperature at or below 47 could definitely put you into hypothermia.

At least according to the local forecast, and DC is local to me.

Afternoon rain possible. Highs near 50 and lows near 40

Which is consistent with all of the local forecasts here in the DC area.

The WeatherUnderground forecast shows it as being 49-50 degrees and overcast at the time of the swearing in and speech. The rain doesn't come until 3 pm or later -- after parade.

Only thing that would be better is if it were dropping baseball sized hail.

I hope WJC & HRC find an excuse out of it all.

I'll start now doing a rain dance for baseball-sized hail to furiously hit PETOUS making him unable to be sworn in and then all sunny and clear on Jan. 21. If only...

According to Angela Fritz at the Capitol Weather Gang, a part of the WaPo organization.

The weather we have here today is what Friday and Saturday will have. Grey, cool, drizzly.

Of course, it is hard to be completely accurate that many days in advance.

Here is what the website says:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital-weather-gang/wp/2017/01/17/d-c-area-forecast-showers-today-and-a-warm-week-chance-of-rain-for-inauguration/

Inauguration Day (Friday) contends with rain. Timing is tricky, but at this moment, it seems like it would affect mainly the afternoon. It would vary from light to moderate intensity and clouds dominate the day, too, so otherwise warm temperatures may not end up feeling that warm. Layers would be a good choice if you’re going to be outside for most of the day. Highs are in the lower to middle 50s. More showers are possible Friday night with lows in the 40s. Confidence: Medium

The weekend aims for partly to mostly cloudy skies most of the time with shower chances especially toward Saturday night and heavier rain potential Sunday. Highs range through the warm 50s with lows in the middle 30 to low 40s. Confidence: Medium

The projected weather for Friday as of 6 days ago was upper 60s, low 70s, clear and dry.

A call for weather work went out on a pagan network on Friday.
