Assange claims Russia didn't submit email hacks to Wikileaks

Yet in the same breath he'll say that all submissions to Wikileaks are done anonymously.

How can he be so sure that these submissions weren't Russian if they are indeed anonymous?

How does this make sense?

Not even sure that it has been rolled into production. I believe that the plan is for anonymous sources to submit material and themselves manage the vetting (by MSM such as the NY Times) , then self manage even publication/leak dates and methodology. Making Assange, a former 16 year old hacker, obsolete.

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has denied that the Russian government provided it with the hacked documents. As Business Insider's Paul Szoldra has written, however, WikiLeaks' website is designed to provide leakers with anonymity even from WikiLeaks itself.

"The site's anonymous drop box keeps no record of who submits documents, does not offer or require any identifying information, and there is no single WikiLeaks employee with the power to unmask an anonymous source," Szoldra wrote. "At least, that's what WikiLeaks claims."

For some reason I'm hesitant to accept Assange's claims as true or accurate.
