What can we do about Trump? Here's a thought.

Trump is all about Trump. He is a massively dangerous man who will destabilize the entire planet on the Monday after the inauguration. It might not even take that long. The Republican congress will not impeach him because they are terrified of Trump's lunatic voters.

But Trump will absolutely be in violation of the Constitution the minute he is sworn in as President. (God, but that makes me want to throw up.) And the things he values most in this world are himself and his money. I think that the ACLU (or maybe even just a citizen) should sue him to force him to completely divest of his business, which he will never do. It might get him to quit the new job. It would take time, but you might be able to fast-track it through the courts. I think even our current SCOTUS would take that case. He does not want the actual working part of the job - he just wants the cheering crowds and the fancy airplane.

What say you, DU?

I mean it when I say he is more dangerous. He appears mainstream to people and in fact he is totally right wing nuts. He along with Ryan could do so much more damage and get reelected.

but he's not "blow up the world" dangerous. He would happily destroy this country - make us all virgins again - but he might be the slightest bit more sane with the nukes.

myopic for what's going on.

We have a Congress who is not in fear of the minions, they are afraid of their owners, the kocktopus and other mega corporate entities who put them in those seats...

We have a figurehead with an ego to keep everyone looking at that squirrel! on his head rather than rationalizing the scope of this situation. It's far beyond the figurehead but with him in place and the bastards in Congress who have been complicit, if not orchestrating the insertion of Russian foul play and an element in the IC (Comey's faction of the FBI) running cover for them to steal the election and be done with this democracy business once and for all. It is the wet dream of world domination knocking at our door and it's four minutes to midnight.

That's my take. We better get it together and make major corrections yesterday.

I was going to say that they need to appease the Trump followers in order to get reelected, but now that they have Russia helping them to rig the elections in their favor, I guess that's not important.

They will wallow in his trough of greed and scorn any laws.

They are a sick bunch of crawlers.

Nothing but nothing will get them to impeach the orange fool.

and wait for him to hang himself on the international stage. The world has been cruising toward this moment for the last 30 years, and it's going to have its catharsis, no matter what you do. I'm sorry it's coming at the expense of the USA, but we're all due for a shakeup, and he's the shaker.

I've been contemplating the concept of 5th generation warfare today. the world is currently engaged in a 5th gen WWIII, in which all the soldiers, weapons and engagements are obscure. It's being fought largely through internet propaganda and political, corporate and financial meetings. The Great Trumpite War that is now convulsing the USA is a similar 5th generation Civil War, and is only one of the battles being fought in the larger World War. Because it's now impossible to determine who is telling the truth about anything, the only way to keep from becoming collateral damage is to recuse yourself from both sides.
