What a piece of shit he is. What's it going to take to have him removed from office once he's inaugurated? There are people in prison, some even on death row, with less evidence against them than trump has against him.

That is, if mud is clear. Basically, it appears to be the same drivel the GOP has been touting all along. Access means there will be low coverage, high deductible plans with limited coverage that even the poor can afford, at least in the minds of the GOP. No mention of pre existing conditions, coverage wellness checks, birth control or any such necessities.

“His goal is to make sure that everybody’s got health care,” Spicer said, adding that the plan would provide greater accessibility to the marketplace, more competition and would drive costs down. “Not only are they going to have greater access, but they’re going to have greater choice.”

Mr. Trump, Spicer said, will “reinstill a sense of competition and choice in the marketplace,” but he declined to make clear whether the replacement plan would have government pay for everyone’s insurance or would have the government mandate that businesses cover it.

Asked why the president-elect hasn’t presented the details of his replacement plan yet, Spicer said, “Because he’s not president yet.”

Trump just got some much needed good media coverage out of the deal, but the populous still is getting the shaft.

There going to have a better spin artist on this one than Conway. Except they haven't found said spin artist, yet.

If we come out of this anything but having stepped backward, I will eat a bug.*

...he means everyone is free to pick their own jobs and health care. If all you can afford is a Band-Aid, make it a great one.

thinks it is somehow different than what the Repukes in the House want.

It isn't. Repeal the ACA and things go back to the way they were.

Of course everyone can have insurance. You just have to pay for it.

and maybe it won't cover pre-existing conditions.

Just like what I was offered after I had my corrective heart surgery in the 1990s... That insurance company dropped me faster than a hot potato (I think the letter arrived about the time I got home from the hospital). I checked around for other insurance options. I got ONE (Blue Cross) offer... for a premium of $1500 a month with a $10,000 deductible and, of course, it wouldn't cover any further operations on my heart. That was in 1996.

So I went without insurance. But I could have HAD insurance if I was wealthy.

has always been the Republican plan to maintain health care in the private sector.

Now that they can take credit for it - and can take Obama's name off it - they can make the adjustments to make it work better, and then go after Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

This is the ideological divide.

Do we accept this private sector affirmation because they'll let us have it now?

Or do we stand for a better Medicare for All with public sector management, cost control, and affirmation of health care as a right guaranteed to all?
