Cliff Notes version of the story: We're about to have 'The Gong Show Presidency.'
http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/16/politics/donald-trump-presidency/
Excerpt: Donald Trump is four days away from assuming the presidency after one of the most tumultuous transitions in modern history, setting the stage for a rocky period of dramatic change, partisan acrimony and unpredictable results.
Trump will take office with far lower poll ratings than his recent predecessors, with majorities of Americans doubtful of his capacity to handle the job. He's at war with the nation's intelligence agencies, has a dysfunctional relationship with the press, is fighting claims that he's too cozy with Russia and is brushing off conventional ethical standards for an incoming president. China has warned him about changing policy related to Taiwan and Mexico has threatened retaliation if Trump imposes a border tax.

(82,849 posts)After the well-oiled machine his candidacy was to see such tumult and (dare I say it?) disarray as Trump prepares to ascend to the pinnacle. So many of the media outlets seem surprised by this.

(86,691 posts)I think that recurring dream that keeps me awake lately is showing signs of being somewhat prophetic. I suspect the next days before Friday, and right up to noon on Friday, will be some of the most hard to believe but intense moments of this democratic nation.
Just sayin'. Things have escalated to exponential magnitude since the dream started showing up in mid-November.

It is, by far the most tumultuous transition ever.

(7,814 posts)The main problem with his cabinet choices are that they don't agree with him? How about lack of qualifications? How about Russia ties? How about the number of billionaires and bank officials named after he condemned their influence on government? How about their contempt for the missions, regulations, and purpose of the departments they are supposed to lead?
And...the acrimony is not partisan...and the reasons for the acrimony are not partisan, they are logical and real.
Overall, they interpret his stumblings, ignorance, lack of policy, and unethical behavior as those of a revolutionary modern candidate who is fighting against 'claims'.

(12,882 posts)WE deserve to see it. Supposed "representatives" visibly fuming over the content and the presentation thereof and we're kept in the dark so the Ignorance-uration can go off as if it isn't a totally fucking false election!!!
Obama or any of the many other folks that have seen the evidence could tell us TODAY. So, what is it they're afraid to tell? If the boorish baby dictator had foreign assistance, then he's NOT the president-elect - nor is Pence.

(22,671 posts)The only reason he 'broke any mold' and we're even talking about this, is because of the pile of dirty tricks and apparent coordination between the tRump team, foreign governments who what to harm America, if by any chance they can have an 'agent of doom' within to do their bidding, and the KGOP that'll support, with blessings, the agenda of doom for the agent of doom.
We are soooo fcuked!!!
