And even cursory research will reveal that the term "identity politics" was used first by left political movements.

Covering your car with Jesus stickers, wearing an NRA hat, telling everyone on Facebook or DU every time you gave $2 to a homeless person, wearing a BLM shirt, etc are all forms of virtue signaling, and is is done in about equal measure from both sides, near as I can tell. I know I do it.

Ronnie, yes congenial old Ronnie modernized the 'passive aggressive' presidency. His handlers whispered in his ear what lines they wanted him to say and good old grandpa Ron barfed it out on the stage and screen like the actor he really was.

Trouble is, grandpa Ron didn't have a frigging clue what messages his handlers were having him blather about.... but the intended recipients of those messages did: subtle racism, hyper-conservationism and irrational domestic and international policies that only benefited a few. Here's a good dossier in good old uncle Ronnie's dirty-deeds if you're interested: https://soapboxie.com/us-politics/21reasonsReaganwasaterriblepresident

But now with the ascendancy of "Mister Delusions of Grandeur" himself to the seat of our nation's power, all the nicety's of a 'passive aggressive' presidency will be left bleeding in the gutter.

This will be a full-on mortal-combat cage match presidency with every conceivable abomination that's buried in our national psyche given voice by this truly deranged individual. May God help us all.

Identity politics? The right uses more buzz words and labels in identifying themselves than we do.

Social justice warriors? When they advocate for far right causes like squashing LGBT rights, and calling stores out for not saying Jesus' name enough, that is being a social justice warrior.

Virtue signaling? The right loves to claim Jesus as their own, while dismissing any other opinions.

Republicans favorite. Don the con usually screams how this country is so "pc" but if you dare to mock him in any way he will immediately threaten to sue you or send the irs after you. Remember - you should not be pc as long as you're not against us.

I was disgusted when Sanders used this RW term http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/sanders-boston-speech-identity-class-politics

In a speech Sunday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) urged attendees to move away from “identity politics”....

I cannot imagine an actual member of the Democratic party using this right wing terminology
