This is INSANE! You have to read this Mother Jones article on the Kompromat/hack etc:

http://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2017/01/evidence-bizarre-trump-russia-ties-continues-ooze-out

Earlier this week, Israel’s Yediot Ahronot newspaper reported that Israeli intelligence officials were questioning whether to continue sharing intelligence with the incoming Trump administration. The report said that during a recent meeting with US intelligence officials, Israel was told that the Russians had “leverages of pressure” to use against Trump. BuzzFeed News could not independently confirm that a meeting had taken place.

Other reports suggest that British intelligence is thinking along the same lines as Israel. And the Daily Beast reports that a group dedicated to hacking the NSA and releasing its prize malware has suddenly gone out of business a few days before Trump's inauguration:

The Shadow Brokers emerged in August with the announcement that they’d stolen the hacking tools used by a sophisticated computer-intrusion operation known as the Equation Group, and were putting them up for sale to the highest bidder. It was a remarkable claim, because the Equation Group is generally understood to be part of the NSA’s elite Tailored Access Operations program.

...snip...

The more persuasive theory, supported by no less than Edward Snowden, is that the Shadow Brokers are one of the same Russian government hacking groups now accused of targeting the U.S. election....Under this theory, the Shadow Brokers were part of a tit-for-tat in the intelligence world. The group emerged just as the U.S. began confronting Russia over its election hacking, and then seemed to release its secrets in time with the public thrusts and parries between the two countries....Now, with a new, friendlier administration coming in, Vladimir Putin may be pressing the reset button

Of course this comes from Mother Jones, which means that sometime in March the rest of the press will catch up and report on this like it's a brand new thing.

and the Russian group hacked into the NSA, got that program and is offering it up for sale.

So the Russians are rummaging around in the NSA with the keys to the kingdom, our security systems are compromised by them, and now they are selling information to anyone who can pay on how to get around our security systems.

The same Russian group is implicated in the election hack.

Mon Jan 16, 2017, 11:12 AM

that allow them to hack other countries' sophisticated systems, presumably on behalf of the US.

The Shadow Brokers are a group that hacked the Equation Group, which means they hacked the very heart of the NSA.

The Shadow Brokers have gone public with their access to the NSA/Equation Group and are offering that access for sale. Which means that anyone with money can now get inside the NSA at its most secret levels.

The Shadow Brokers are Putin's people and they are implicated in the hack of the election. This means that Putin is not only in our security systems, he's offering our security systems for sale and thus rendering them completely useless.

This is now causing other countries to get as far away from us as they can.

We are screwed.

I almost think that we are wanted to feel this way, to ignore it and not believe any news source. Hoping that it will just go away. What I really want to see happen, is "hold" on the Inauguration (doubt that's possible), but a full-fledged televised-live investigation. I believe Snowden. I think he is probably one of the honest ones in this whole mess.

Mon Jan 16, 2017, 12:19 PM
Jan 2017

Read everything you can about Vladislav Surkov. Because his methods and what he's done in Russia is what's happening across the globe now as the oligarchs (can't believe i"m using that term) need methods to control people with minimal violence to preserve the appearance of Democracy.

"What this film is going to suggest is that that defeatist response has become a central part of a new system of political control. And to understand how this is happening, you have to look to Russia, to a man called Vladislav Surkov...

Surkov is one of President Putin's advisers, and has helped him maintain his power for 15 years, but he has done it in a very new way. He came originally from the avant-garde art world, and those who have studied his career, say that what Surkov has done, is to import ideas from conceptual art into the very heart of politics. His aim is to undermine peoples' perceptions of the world, so they never know what is really happening.

Surkov turned Russian politics into a bewildering, constantly changing piece of theater. He sponsored all kinds of groups, from neo-Nazi skinheads to liberal human rights groups. He even backed parties that were opposed to President Putin. But the key thing was, that Surkov then let it be known that this was what he was doing, which meant that no one was sure what was real or fake. As one journalist put it: "It is a strategy of power that keeps any opposition constantly confused."

A ceaseless shape-shifting that is unstoppable because it is undefinable. It is exactly what Surkov is alleged to have done in the Ukraine this year. In typical fashion, as the war began, Surkov published a short story about something he called non-linear war. A war where you never know what the enemy are really up to, or even who they are. The underlying aim, Surkov says, is not to win the war, but to use the conflict to create a constant state of destabilized perception, in order to manage and control.

from the beginning that with all the evidence pointing to a putin/trump bromance other countries will be loath to share vital information with us. That leaves us undefended and in extreme danger.

Even our own intelligence agencies are squeamish about sharing intelligence with trump. That leaves us with only Russia supplying us with intelligence. Trump trusts putin and only putin. This will not end well.
