My opinion on the trump wall

IF construction ever begins, it will likely never be completed.
Companies like Bechtel will be involved in the construction.
Companies like Academi will be providing "security" in the area.
Mexico will pay for the wall...
...with increased aid money from the US and loans from US banks.
The loans will be underwritten by the US government and we will help Mexico with the payments.

For the record I think it's a bad idea to rebuild checkpoint charlie on the Mexican border.

but, if you don't effect demand here at home, it will just be money down the drain. Demand in the drug war is U.S. drug users. Demand in the immigrant war is U.S. employers.

...I had a friend in the Coast Guard. After a drug enforcement conference he had attended, he shared that one mutual admiration dinner had included recognition for a new high mark in marijuana interdiction and confiscation. The previous day's budget meetings revealed the cost of said operations compared to the street value was greater than 110%.

Re: "Demand in the immigrant war is U.S. employers." So tell me again who gets the most benefit from government "aid"? Is it people on SNAP and welfare or big companies?

forced companies and citizens to use immigrant labor. Our fruits, vegetables, meats and hotel rooms are dependent on immigrant labor. Here is my analogy;

A Red neck American vacations at a hotel on the beach. He knows the women cleaning his room is an immigrant. He goes down to the hotel restaurant and knows his salad and steak were brought to him by immigrant labor. After dinner, he takes a walk on the hotel grounds and sees immigrant labor tending to the grounds. He knows that he has financially benefited from ALL THE AFORMENTIONED IMMIGRANT LABOR. Yet, he sits by the pool with a tooth pick in his angry mouth, looks out at the ocean and wonders why these immigrants are here ? Why must he be a victim again ? Americans always refuse to look in the mirror at themselves.
