...Healthcare Savings Accounts.. Catastrophic inexpensive Med. Plans
Crossing State lines to shop better healthcare plans.. They think we’re that stupid to actually think these things will work for middle class incomers.. I can’t even begin to express my anger right now..

How about some help..http://crooksandliars.com/2017/01/sen-rand-paul-aca-replacement

who aged out of their decent corporate jobs between 50-55 and have 10-15 years before Medicare will kick in.

Republicans have been completely blinded by their ideology. They honestly believe the free market fairy will jump in and save them.

so blinded by their partisanship that they couldn't support the aca, which was *their* ideological alternative to hillarycare and single-payer.

now they don't know what to replace it with because the aca *is* their ideological replacement.

The shocking number of Americans who can’t cover a $400 expense
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/05/25/the-shocking-number-of-americans-who-cant-cover-a-400-expense/

The Federal Reserve surveyed more than 5,000 people to determine whether their personal situations were improving along with the economy. The results, released Wednesday afternoon, found that though households showed “mild improvement” overall, their perspective depended on their income, race and education.

Take this one telling statistic: About 46 percent of Americans said they did not have enough money to cover a $400 emergency expense. Instead, they would have to put it on a credit card and pay it off over time, borrow from friends or family, or simply not cover it at all.

Not surprisingly, those with higher incomes were better equipped to handle an emergency. About 81 percent of people making more than $100,000 a year reported they would be able to cover the bill, compared with 34 percent of those earning less than $40,000.

At every income level, white consumers were better prepared for a $400 emergency than other racial groups. Eighty-three percent of the wealthiest whites surveyed said they could easily absorb the cost, compared with 63 percent of blacks and 67 percent of Hispanics in the same income group. Among the poorest consumers, 40 percent of whites would be able to cover the expense compared with 20 percent of blacks and 27 percent of Hispanics.

Thom Hartmann had an "ah-ha" moment last week on the radio. He said, 'I finally get it why Republicans want to repeal the ACA so bad. There is a provision in the law that is taxing people that make over $300,000 (? on the income parameter, could be lower) at a higher tax-rate to help pay for ACA.'

The bottom line is that the wealthy own our federal government and they do not want to help pay for other people's needs. GREED, lack of connection with humanity, superior, lack of compassion and empathy, etc.....

Do the math. IF you could afford to put aside $100 every month for 20 years and IF you could get a 5% return on your investment, you would have about $41,000. Ignoring inflation. What is that worth? Two days in a hospital?

the frozen foods by the time you got home.

But I suppose one could use a strip of them as a temporary band-aid, along with a quarter-square of toilet paper. (NOT double-ply, you moochers!*)

* Not that it matters, since paper products (like toilet paper) can't be purchased with a SNAP card anyway...
