Let's say ALL the things said about Trump are true - so what?. . .

. . . even the stuff that's obviously fake news (ie Trump has an alien baby with his daughter). . .

So what? HOW can he be stopped? Does congress have enough testosterone (or estrogen) to force him down or will it be another Putin-like autocracy? Does the American electorate even care about this stuff? They're too stupid to think they wanted Obamacare defeated but their ACA kept. . .

Talk me off the ledge here please. . .

Thanks

This will be an internal struggle in their own party, they have to sort it out and we are simply along for the ride.

It feels like there is no desire to put an end to it. And if the Republican party is in control and therefore can choose not to do anything, I think the country is screwed.
There must be a non-partisan body that can step in.

We're spectators to this drama playing out amongst the GOP. We can scream and rant, but unless we get a lot more media attention than usual not much will come from it. The GOP is only going to be concerned about the damage to their brand and their individual political careers. Their tolerance will be massive, but not inexhaustible.

Do American voters care? Some do, others don't and even more are just too busy to be bothered one way or the other.

What's the price of a loaf of bread?
What's the price of a six-pack of beer.

this is a temporary dislocation and I do believe that this country has it its core a basic decency that will get us through this and will get back to middle-of-the-road values.

Extremists on the both the left and the right constantly harangue us with threatened doom, and sometimes they have a point, as with global warming, but historically the mass of reasonably decent Americans just want to get to and from work every day without hassle, feed and educate their kids, and retire in peace. The need to return to normal times will get us through a lot of this. That desire is what got a lot of people to look to Trump as a "new" solution, and will be his downfall.

And don't forget that those evil corporations also insist on stability, and will do what they can to avoid turning everything upside down.
