Not Obamacare, not single payer, not the Republican Plan, but "Insurance for Everybody."
Hmm. What in god's name is he talking about?
Trump declined to reveal specifics in the telephone interview late Saturday with The Washington Post, but any proposals from the incoming president would almost certainly dominate the Republican effort to overhaul federal health policy as he prepares to work with his partys congressional majorities.
Trumps plan is likely to face questions from the right, following years of GOP opposition to further expansion of government involvement in the health-care system, and from those on the left, who see his ideas as disruptive to changes brought by the Affordable Care Act that have extended coverage to tens of millions of Americans.
In addition to his replacement plan for the ACA, also known as Obamacare, Trump said he will target pharmaceutical companies over drug prices and demand that they negotiate directly with Medicaid and Medicare.

(2,857 posts)If I had the money to pay all my potential medical bills out of pocket I wouldn't get insurance either. Just write a check.. That's not real life though. We have HSA's where I work and it's only good for letting you put away money to cover prescriptions and co-pays since most normal people can't sock away huge amounts of money every month. I don't use it.

(1,399 posts)...is only because it has "Obama" in its name, and I think a fair number of Deplorables feel the same way, it just kills them they have an "Obamacare" policy. They could make just the slightest of changes to it but if it were simply renamed Trumpcare I honestly think he'd be happy, if not tickled. Not saying that's what congressional Republicans want, just what the Donald wants. Brand name is everything to him.
