This place is beautiful. There's a lake and a lot of areas in which to meditate. I would be SHOCKED if any DU'er is going to watch. I think this is a good thread. I'd like to hear what folks are doing.

Especially if they are cable news shows. Most non-cable shows will be preempted by inauguration coverage, so you should cancel those too.

I think Bill Maher is back from winter break that night. I'll tune in there and then that concert if it's streamed or broadcast somewhere.

I just want to see pics and video of the Obamas which there will be a lot at theobamadiary.com As a matter of fact I believe that will be the last day of the diary. They will also provide info on all the other happenings. Look this is not going to be easy but I have to take a stand even if it feels like quitting cigarettes cold turkey.

Wow a 3000 piece puzzle! I just love jigsaw puzzles. It is great therapy to me. The most I've done is 1500. I haven't done one in a long time and you gave me the idea to start one that day.

I have them everywhere, but have let things get in the way of doing them. I need this for depression and anxiety. It really helps. I always save mine when finished.

Sorry for going off topic, but it's good to be reminded of helpful things during this terrible time.

My puzzle is a Ravensburger country cottage scene with a beautiful french country cottage, a river, ducks, a cat, walkways, steps, and lots and of green foliage and flowers.

I love to talk about jigsaw puzzles.

I'll be watching Star Trek reruns on BBC A if TCM is playing the shit movies Mankewicz seems to favor, channeling his inner Holden Caulfield. Star Trek says we survived the Republican maladministrations, televangelists, corporate oligarchs, and the rest of the toxic political stew we're in.

nor the crummy entertainers. Good idea to cancel automatic recording - that will be preempted anyway, I suppose. I intend to really go after my laundry-craft-sewing-collection of photos, general purpose all the time "messy" room and get it ready for new projects (while listening to music.) C-Span, NPR and PBS will also not be on. I will wear black and treat it as a day of mourning.
