Are there 3 Republican Senators willing to change the balance of power?

Any 3 will do...it doesn't matter..who..but it needs to be soon. If any 3, about 5 percent of the total, in their hearts, could change party allegiance, then Trump and the Republicans would be slowed down in the legislative process. I know this has been discussed before and it will be again...but,...it would be for the good of the entire country and our future. The future of this entire place of 330 million and growing..What do you think?
I doubt it, but maybe there is a slight chance...maybe..,,,,,

They will be primaried out of office. The dems tolerate pols that don't vote with the party, the Repukes don't.

How many are voting for Flynn, who clearly violated the Logan Act?

Their intentions would be leaked before they switched Parties. They'd be offered such pork for their states that they'd change their minds and remain Republicans. And then they would be hounded out or primaried and crushed in the next election cycle.

But the very thought of three of them defecting made my heart sing temporarily. It really did. I imagined three of them doing it over the course of a day. Our sandbags would come down, the sun would shine again and flowers would begin to grow under a cool, gentle rain. The Hallelujah Chorus would be sung as the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. It would be glorious.

I watched the Watergate scandal from the very beginning. I worked for McGovern and watched the outcome. But in my heart, I knew he was honest, and Nixon a crook. It took time, but the truth came out. I think this will be much quicker, but it needs to be.

One last thought, there were Republican congressmen who came around to knowing that Nixon broke the law. I think there are still a very few that see this truth: Trump and his campaign broke the law.....

Mike Pence could be worse from a legislative stand point. But, from the idea of somehow helping the country to survive, and some stability......he would be better..

Look at people who have changed parties in the past--Ben Whitehorse Campbell D to R, in 1995, or Arlen Spector, R to D, in 2009--they have changed from the minority party to the majority.

There is probably a lot of pressure on people like Joe Manchin, and a lot of other DINOs as well, to switch. Remember, the majority can offer lot of incentives, such as committee chairs, etc. The minority party doesn't have a lot to offer.

Not going to happen. More likely, they will work from within to influence things in a um, sane direction.

Only because a change in the majority in the Senate, would put a check on Trump. That is the kind of check that the founding fathers actually planned for when they wrote the Constitution. As others have pointed out, the election of Trump was probably illegal. A simple majority in the Senate would do a lot to prevent him from even proposing legislation that wouldn't get passed that majority. I do hope you are wrong, but from the comments on this, I see many think that it very, very unlikely that 3 Republicans will switch for the good of the U.S.A. I hope that the switch takes place even if it is against all the odds of it happening....

enough to expose the division in the Repuke Party. When it comes necessary to agree on details, and whose corporate sponsors will be winners and whose will be losers, all hell will break loose. Important for DEMs not to heal the division. DEMs should divide and participate only to stall the process. In the end, Repukes will not be able to do anything but go into mid-terms with only Trump nuttiness to show for themselves.

So I have my hopes. All the others - McCain, Rubio, Graham, Hatch, Alexander, etc. - are likely only to be ok on targeted issues only. I hope with Trump starting out in such a mess already that the Repukes will be more likely to go against him and work with us. But considering the party's history of party over country, it is only a hope.
