First it was senator John McCain for his war time service as a prisoner of war, then it was Capt Humayun Khan who died while exposing himself to extreme danger on the field of battle so that his men might live. Now it's a recognized veteran of the Civil Rights war, a hero of that and this era. These men have served in a way that few are called to do and Trump continually smears and defames them. This is proof of his cowardice. An, alleged, man who has NEVER risked anything even remotely close to what these, actual, men have.
That Trump is even allowed to utter their names is blasphemy. He is Americas embarrassment and great shame. He will spoil the office of the presidency like no other could. He will despoil and savage the office just like he has done with everything else he has ever touched.
Shame on us for allowing him.

(4,449 posts)What am I supposed to do, evade the Secret Service and chop his chubby little Twitter fingers off? I did what I could. Voted for Hillary, gave more to her campaign than every other campaign I've donated to combined, volunteered to make calls for her. Wasn't my fucking fault that Trump got elected, and I didn't allow him to do shit. Go yell at the people on Jackpinedouchenozzles or FascistRepublic.

"Shame on us for allowing him"? Speak for yourself.

(115,774 posts)How do you propose "we" stop him? Anyhow, he has the same right of free speech as everyone else to say stupid, reprehensible things. I'd rather he keeps tweeting his crap; it will show what he really is and will help bring him down.

(115,774 posts)Twitter is not secure, so maybe the CIA could figure out how to pull the plug by blocking his Twitter account on national security grounds. Otherwise it's not going to stop as long as he's president. And "our" elected officials, i.e., Democrats, are a minority, so even if Congress had the power, theoretically, to make him stop (and it doesn't - there's that separation of powers thing), this Congress won't.

(2,434 posts)bully. He tweeted about Meryl Streep, but now that DeNiro has defended her, we aren't hearing a peep out of the Twit-in-chief. Is he afraid of deNiro? Does he believe the characters deNiro has played? Could it be he believes deNiro is truly w/ the Mob? LOL! I'll bet he does.
