Can America survive four years of Donald Trump?

He has greatly weakened our country and he's not even President yet. What happens when he is sworn into office?

With the present mindset of most folks, it will be difficult to make it thru 4 years of a Trump Presidency. It will be very much like being a prisoner of war. Every day has unknown consequences and nobody knows what tomorrow will bring?

John McCain must recognize this feeling very much? He must be experiencing flashbacks of his time in a Hanoi prison?

America is being held hostage by this reprobate.

Pence takes over, and he is far, far much of a Threat to Democracy, being a Religious nut, who wants to take away women's rights, maybe even poor people's rights. He is one of those crazy ones, that Sarah Palin can only admire from afar.

Tillotson is necessary for Trump. His only role is to make sure the sanctions are dropped. Trump has no plans for governing. Every thing he does weakens the federal government. It seems astonishing that Trump would go through this public humiliation. Either the Russians are planning to blackmail him or he is planning to resign once the sanctions are gone.

Not sure the world can either. We are all interconnected. Our economy goes down-people in other places get poorer or starve to death.

We are a shitty country to let this sociopath blackmail the world.

Democrats, if they could, would get rid of him today.

Republicans are the ones that are defending him and keeping him in power. They own him.

I think for all intents and purposes, America is dead.
We've just seen the installation of a despot as president, with the accomplices in charge of all levels of government.
If this isn't a coup, than what is? Their first order of business for god's sake is the destruction of governmental processes and policies designed for the people!! What else do we need to know about these cretins??

We're living off the carcass of the grand experiment now. The hope for us has to be in the knowledge of our power as the majority and our willingness to fight for the restoration and progression of democratic values. That fight will be tough against a ruling junta heavily supported by a foreign power with it's tentacles in the deepest levels of government (think military, intelligence, judicial for starters).

If we are to prevail, the emerging America will be different from the one we just lost. The structure of our government will have to change to prevent a re-occurrence of what we are experiencing now. Clearly, a tall order.
