Whenever I think Obama's not savvy, he ups and out-savvys everyone

I think it is just hysterical...Obama outplayed the big money, the players, and their
new Shrub replacement - a soulless automaton, brighter than Shrub, but equal
since he has no soul. All the really bright Republicans knew there was no one
with enough charisma to take our President on in 2012.

Obama left them all speechless, relegated to "It's only a stopgap measure"...and to
use Romney's words to Laura Ingram, "you got anything better?"

Mittens is on record for saying he'd repeal the Dream Act. Now, the
press is drilling him..."Will you repeal the Exec Order that Obama set forth?"
If he says yes, he looks like an asshole - especially to Latinos. If he says
no, he loses his wing nut, bigoted base,

He is totally in a vise. LOVE IT

It is one George W Bush never had, but tried to emulate with zero success. It is one the Republicans never stop talking about with regards to Reagan, but their claims are hollow.

Obama has more than Reagan's charisma, but he has something that no Republican president has had since maybe Ike. He has the Presidential demeanor. In spite of horrible adversity from his opponents, he maintains an even tempered, dare I say, facade. Maybe I should term that as public face.

It is the difference between acting like a President and being President. GWB was a President, but he didn't act like one.

Obama is doing things fine. Every pol knows that the second term election is different from the first. Give our president the benefit that maybe he's smart enough to know that.

Thanks.

the political wilderness for a generation. Vain hopes perhaps, but I will settle for a landslide of 1964 LBJ-esque proportions.

I think another term for what you are getting at is 'gravitas'. Obama has it, has always had it, and W, McCrazy and RMoney did and do not. Obama also manifests a Sidney Poitier-esque 'sprezzatura' and a 'cool' factor that rivals JFK's.

I really, really like him. although I disagree -- often strongly -- with many of his staffing and policy decisions.

Who are you talking about? Darth was president, and some monkey from Texas/CT was his spokesman.

Bill Maher had a great line on his show when he said that when Rmoney spoke there the day before, five minutes in half the audience self-deported.

Maher also said, "Mitt Romney has the oratorical skills of the OnStar operator."

I didn't evern see Rmoney's "speech"he day before ~I think I saw a quick snapshot of the crowd.

They always do that -- sounded like about 20 people there - Paid to be there and they still could not make much noise.
