Hope those boys all feel vindicated now.

Someone really did listen and care about them.

This is good.

that's why I said he wasn't smiling. I don't think he considered the consequences even once right up to the minute he heard the first guilty verdict.

What he did for so many years. That their stealing childhood and taking pleasures wasn't valuable. Freedom is worth more than thatt.

Abuse your liberty and you will lose it. Even if it's not mankind's law, it's nature's law. A price must be paid, and it's not punishment.

It's a creation of those who go out of their way to harm others. They build their own prison.

I want those young men's dignity restored after years of being disregarded. This may start that process for them and give hope others who have been or are being abused.

There was also a conviction in a high-profile hurch abuse case this week, too.

I would imagine that there are dozens of people out there who would like to put some lead in that guy.

a sane man, just because they are bent to do something evil....and a man
who is truly mentally insane.

I hope I live long enough to have the scientists pinpoint the gene that makes people perform
horrible acts and that somehow it can be fixed.

I think about that when I hear about sex offenders who willingly volunteer for castration...who
beg for relief, to be different, to not do what they do.

I am more familiar with the Sandusky brand of pedophile who is simply not capable of feeling remorse for the behavior. This pattern is very familiar to me.

They are incapable of feeling empathy or remorse. It's not that they won't. They can't.

14. Not feeling empathy or remorse don't mean they don't feel pleasure. They are playing a game.

Games have winners and losers, always. There is no reason to feel remorse, but rather feel proud of themselves. If using someone and causing them pain feels good to them, they win. If they away with it, they win again.

Saying they are incapable of feeling empathy or remorse does not discount the reason they did it to begin with. They enjoy what they do. This is the mistake many people make dealing with such characters. They will never find anything wrong that give them pleasure

People who do these things don't stop because they have no shame about it. It's all good to them, really it is. Until they get caught, then they are sorry. For being denied their pleasures, not what they did.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. Because our context is not theirs, but they rely on our believing they have the same values and emotional reactions non-predators do. It gives them more pleasure and pride in their cleverness to think they have fooled people.
