Poll: Sixty-Four Percent Of Voters Think Trump Should Delete His Twitter Account

By MATT SHUHAM Published JANUARY 10, 2017, 3:34 PM EDT

The majority of American voters believe that President-elect Donald Trump should delete his Twitter account, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday.

Sixty-four percent of respondents thought that Trump should ditch his Twitter account, which he continues to use to ignite feuds with celebrities and announce policy proposals, once he is officially installed in the White House.

Thirty-two percent of respondents thought he should keep it, and five percent were unsure or did not answer.

On November 10, 2016, the only other time Quinnipiac published data on opinions of Trump’s Twitter account, 59 percent of respondents wanted Trump to delete the account. Thirty-five percent supported his keeping it, and six percent were unsure or did not answer.

Neither am I. While it sucks for the country, it's the closed window to his ID that we have. TheBlackAdder Jan 2017 #12

The more ugliness he writes the less Trump supporters can deny what he really means. Except, of course, for Kellyanne "pay me and I will say anything" Conway.

Let him be himself. Let the people see what they voted for.

2 weeks out from inauguration with a plethora of unvetted cabinet picks, and this asshole is tweeting lies and rumors about Ford/Toyota, ranting about Arnold Schwarzenegger's reality show ratings and attacking Meryl Streep.

For the love of all that is holy, let him keep his Twitter.

If I have to put up with him as POTUS don't take away the only piece of the pie that makes me laugh. Although, in light of recent revelations, maybe we won't have to.
