Trumps Approval Rating Plunges To Historic New Low Days Before Inauguration

POLITICUSA

America is not giving Donald Trump a warm welcome to the White House as a new poll found that Trump’s job approval rating has dropped seven points to 37% over the past month.

According to Quinnipiac University, Trump has an unfavorable rating of 51% and unfavorable rating of 37%. The president-elect’s favorability ratings are down seven points over the last 30 days.

Respondents also had highly unfavorable views of Trump’s personal traits:

53 – 39 percent that he is not honest, compared to 52 – 42 percent November 22;
49 – 44 percent that he has good leadership skills, compared to 56 – 38 percent;
52 – 44 percent that he does not care about average Americans, compared to 51 – 45 percent who said he did care;
62 – 33 percent that he is not level-headed, compared to 57 – 38 percent;
71 – 25 percent that he is a strong person, compared to 74 – 23 percent;
68 – 27 percent that he is intelligent, compared to 74 – 21 percent.

Trump is not even in office yet, and he has already broken his own record for being the least popular president-elect in history. Respondents by a margin of 45%-34% believed that Trump would be a worse president than Obama.

Donald Trump has never been a popular political figure, but the notion of beginning his presidency by taking healthcare away from nearly 30 million Americans has come back to haunt him. Trump doesn’t have a positive agenda for the country, and the endlessly negative president-elect is seeing his own negativity thrown back at him by the American people.

Trump never inspires confidence. The takeaways from the Quinnipiac University poll are that most Americans don’t like Trump. They have no faith that he cares about them, and they think he is going to be a pretty lousy president.

Never in modern history has a president-elect gotten off to such a terrible start with the public.

Donald Trump is reaping the seeds of division and hate that he sowed during his presidential campaign. It has come full circle, as America is stuck with a president-elect that they really don’t like.

There's a bunch of sickening pro-Trump commentary on various high-traffic sites. Are his supporters simply bigger loudmouths, or are the Russians still trying to brainwash people with AI bots or something?

I also hope there's no liberals who do something stupid and unethical, like an act of terrorism that would only help boost Trump!

I hit back on every pro-Trump response to my Facebook posts. Never concede one inch. My totally anecdotal experience is that these trolls run out of steam after two or three posts. Hit them with facts, citations and links, and they disappear like the morning dew on a hot summer day.

But I've had decent luck in the comments sections in actual news sites. It helps to develop a sense of when to leave a troll to his own feeble devices.

But Yahoo? Boy, that's a cesspool not worth my time. Good on you if you can hack it there.

It's almost a given and some are no doubt Russian.

I go on Yahoo to fuck with the dolts at least once a day. It's fun!!

I usually start by asking them how cold it is in Russia today. Then I address all RW posters as comrade which upsets quite a few who claim to be American, which they usually are - but so what, right?.

"Yeah, sure you are comrade, You're about as American as a bowl of borscht. Say, that vodka has really messed your brain up, huh?"

"Did you fight in Afghanistan? I hear the hash was really good back then".

"What part of Russia are you trolling from? Is it like, a troll farm where they chain you to the console all day?" "Do they give you a vodka break once in awhile/ 'cause you sound a little upset just now, Vladimir".

39 percent of respondents still think he is honest
44 percent think that he has good leadership skills
44 percent think that he cares about average Americans
33 percent think that he is level-headed
25 percent think that he is a strong person
27 percent think that he is intelligent

All of these are, of course, open to interpretation, but and intelligence, strength, and leadership skills are, I think, more debatable due to RWers thinking strong means being an asshole, intelligent means you figured out how to swindle people out of their money, and leadership consists of yelling the loudest.

I simply cannot believe anyone thinks that selfish, intemperate, lying bastard is honest or level-headed or that he gives a shit about average Americans. Who are these idiots?
