Look what we missed in the Congress ethics pushback:

Congress secretly passes law allowing itself to hide records from ethics probes? WTF?

Now, let me get this straight: Congressman A can buy the Hope diamond for his mistress with taxpayer funds or Congressman B can use campaign contributions to bribe an election official and "We, the People" are now denied access to congressional spending records for an ethics investigation?

Time for us to get the dunce hats back out and let the shaming begin!

Believe this was one of the first orders of Business when the House returned. Someone posted this story couple of weeks ago. We now have a Congress that is a mirror of the 1880's to 1930 period. Corruption is the rule of the day.

And yes Murdoch has his fingerprints all over this. The new player is Anschutz who is the largest stockholder of Comcast stock through his many companies.

Thanx for the support link! I never thought to check out Open Secrets! Other than Huffpost, a couple of finance/biz journals and a blog from Nigeria (!), the Internet has been crickets on this story! Perhaps too cerebral for MSM and the masses who follow them?

I think you are right about it being to cerebral for MSM...sometimes The Hill or Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell will pick up stories from there and they still might be but are still investigating it since it just happened last week.
