WTF? Kushner to broker Middle East peace?

Just heard this again on the morning news. Don't know what they are smoking.

Trump: Jared Kushner could broker Middle East peace
By YOUSEF SABA 11/22/16 02:19 PM EST
President-elect Donald Trump said that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could help make peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, according to a tweet by the New York Times’ Washington bureau chief, Elisabeth Bumiller.

Kushner has played a leading part in Trump's campaign and transition, and is said to be considering a role in his White House. He has also reportedly been a key conduit between the Trump campaign and the pro-Israel community, as well as the Israel government.

Trump's daughter Ivanka converted to Orthodox Judaism when she married Kushner, who is said to be a strict observer of his faith.

Trump has spoken repeatedly of his desire to broker Middle East peace, though he has staffed his campaign and transition with skeptics of the peace process.

“I would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians, that would be such a great achievement,” Trump said Tuesday, according to a tweet from the Times’ Mike Grynbaum.

Trump also weighed in on the Syrian civil war, saying, “Syria, we have to solve that problem,” adding that he has a “different view than everybody else,” according to the Times’ Maggie Haberman.

The New York Times staff quoted Trump making these remarks at his meeting with the newspaper's editorial staff on Tuesday.

The incoming Trump administration has told allies it is moving ahead with plans to relocate the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem -- even as those countries issue stark warnings of the potential impact and the Palestinians and Arab nations are escalating calls not to do it.

It's not as if he hasn't nominated as ambassador to Israel someone so hardline pro-settler that he called Obama anti-semitic, and said the American Jews who oppose the West Bank occupation are worse than Jewish concentration camp guards: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/dec/15/trump-israel-ambassador-david-friedman

Oh yeah, Middle East peace in our time ...

He'll get that done in the first few months and then be completely bored for the next 3 1/2 years. Kind of like how Iraq was going to be a cakewalk that wouldn't last more than 6 weeks, tops.

in splitting a treat for kids being stuffing the whole thing in his own face and laughing as they cry.

My guess is that the "negotiation" in the Middle East will be doing whatever Putin wants in Syria and aiding in disposing of the pesky Palestinian population. Probably with more bombs, so the settlers have fewer buildings to get rid of.

The settlements are basically a form of soft "non-violent" conquest. It's probably too late already to untangle that mess. The occupied territories are pretty much Israeli suburbia now. I've always supported an Israeli right to exist, but Netanyahu and the hard righters there are really softening my support.

I'm just worried more about the rest of the Middle East. The closeness of Russia with Syria and now Turkey, is worrisome.
Netanyahu is going so hard right I'm not sure what his ultimate aim might be.
This is no place for an idiot neophyte.
