That was my response to the RWer who claimed that Trump wasn't really mocking him. I gave him the 'let's say it is plausible that he didn't really intend to mock him' benefit of the doubt, as much benefit of the doubt as possible.
Dozens of RWers commented in this thread and not one responded. I bumped it several times and they had zero response.

(1,427 posts)I hold Ryan and Mcconnell as the really evil villains. Trump is an arrested development guy who is shallow and such. He probably thought he was elevating the reporter by making fun of him. Check the real villains - Ryan, Mcconnell and their backers! Trump is like the conservative version of BEING THERE - he watches TV all day and Twitters. There's no THERE THERE as Gertrude Stein said.

(2,342 posts)On DU) of the reporter and Trump mocking the reporter. There hasn't been one friend on FB defending Trump. In my post I simply stated...I wish it wasn't true that he mocked him. But it is true. Seems no one could disagree. The truth right in front of them.

(32,712 posts)had mocked Cruz in a similar fashion, but before anyone thinks that gets trump off the hook--please note that the Cruz mocking occurred several months after he mocked the disabled reporter.
The Cruz mocking was most likely a deliberate stunt to provide cover for mocking the reporter.
See guys, I mock everyone in this distasteful manner.
