or whatever the term, confirms that even he considers his two sons as complete morons. On this, I actually agree with him.

(17,006 posts)This way, Trump will always have control of her. It seemed she was trying to assert a little independence there, think climate change. Now, he controls her husband. So much for her having any independence. In a strange way I feel sorry for her.

They are shameless with their greed. Trump doesn't plan to divest himself from his business, he's going all in on it.

(2,857 posts)I truly believe he has at the least the beginings of dementia. Ivanka and Kushner help him cover. You watch him and you'll see him act surprised at things he's said himself when asked about it later.

(3,335 posts)the Trump children weren't that smart either. Poor little rich kid Jared inherited the family businesses when his rich dad went to prison thanks to Chris Christie. So I'm not convinced that Kushner is any Einstein either simply because he's the smartest one in the room when the room happens to be full of Trump's children.
I think that Trump is drunk on power and knows nothing about what it takes to run this country and is too lazy to put in the time and effort required to learn. So instead he's been bluffing his way through the past 18 months. His racist attitude and arrogance tells him that if Obama could be President than surely he could too, but he doesn't want to admit that it's possible that President Obama is smarter than he is, more disciplined than he is, more introspective than he is, more willing to work hard to master the things that he didn't know going into the office but needed to know in order to do the job of President he was about to embark on back in the fall of 2008. Barack Obama was still young enough and wise enough having earned a law degree from Harvard Law School and been the Editor of the Harvard Law Review which was no small feat to have earned while at Harvard. He also worked as a lawyer, taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School, was an Illinois State Senator before being elected to the U.S. Senate for the State of Illinois. So unlike Trump, Barack Obama had a working understanding of what it takes to govern at the State and Federal level before running for the most important job in this nation, and he knows something about the Constitution. And he's never stopped working hard everyday to learn what he didn't know.
Contrast this to Trump who was born on third base and acts as if he hit a home run. He spent a year and a half running for the highest office in this land and appears to have done absolutely nothing to learn what he doesn't know, and to this day is still trying to bluff his way first through the campaign and soon to be through the Presidency, rather than trying to actually put in the time and effort to learn anything. He's prepared to bluff his way through the office of the presidency. But there is much more at stake now, and Trump should not be allowed to simply bluff his way through the next four years. There is too much at stake. Jared Kusner, like Trump, was born on third base and while he may well be the smartest man in the room, my guess is that collectively, this says more about those in the room than it does about Jared Kushner. I take no comfort in knowing that.

(47,487 posts)If he could run the country with all the harassment against him, the law suits, the impeachment, then why couldn't he?
The rest, is we say, is a sad history.
We can only hope that Trump will not decide to invade another country to show that he can.
