Repukes new approach to women voters - attack porn

Republican Virginia Delegate Bob Marshall filed a resolution declaring pornography a “public health hazard” that is responsible for “a broad spectrum of individual and public health impacts and societal harms.” In its list of reasons for the resolution, Marshall connects pornography to the prevalence of sexual assault and claims its use makes sexual violence seem more normal.

WHEREAS, because pornography treats women as objects and commodities for the viewer's use, it teaches girls that they are to be used and teaches boys to be users; and

WHEREAS, pornography normalizes violence and abuse of women and children; and

WHEREAS, pornography treats women and children as objects and often depicts rape and abuse as if such acts are harmless; and abuse as if such acts are harmless....;

Of course , but note the way Marshall is framing the resolution - God Awmighty, those Repukes really care about women.

Which State Consumes The Most Online Porn?

Utah, that’s which state! Or so says Harvard researcher Ben Edelman, who “analyzed subscriber data from an unnamed ‘top 10 seller of online adult entertainment.'” When comparing broadband subscribers, Utah comes in first with an average of 5.47 per 1000. In second place is Alaska with just over 5.03 per 1000, and coming in third is Mississippi.

The GOP is always in favor of war.

Apparently access to healthcare is not a public health hazard. The GOP does nothing about it.

Apparently access to adequate food and shelter are not health hazards. The GOP does nothing about it.

Apparently lack of a living wage is not a health hazard. The GOP does nothing about it.

Apparently easy access to guns is not a public health hazard. The GOP does nothing about it.

We can all rest easy now that the GOP is in control of what we can view.
