This was McCain's last election. He will never have to face the voters again.

He has a chance to be a hero.

Just say we want friendly relations with all nations but we don't want them (Russia) manipulating our elections and the elections of our friends.

I don't see a downside per se, I just think it's iffy as to whether he'd go full scream ahead and do the right thing.

do the same even if he was going to run again.

remember that he said he was not going to vote for trump before the election.

he has always been hawkish so this is just where he stands on this issue.

8. The reason I said this is his last election is because he will be 87 if he runs again.

It is reasonable to assume he doesn't want to eclipse Strom Thurmond's record for longetivity

his temperament and conviction regarding Russia would be the driving force that would propel him to stay on this.

11. McCain can use some redemption badly. His conduct regarding Benghazi was reprehensible.

He repeated the right wing talking points about Secretary Clinton.

Like most Republicans he disgraced himself.

Not cowed my Fuckhead's intimidation. Sad to say that's all we've got right now. Lots of cowards in the Senate. I think McCain is in revenge mode. It's legacy time for the former "Maverick".

I am writing you to say Thank You. Thank you for speaking up and raising the alarm about President Elect Trump’s ties with Putin. If the allegations are true and they appear to be so, this was an attack on our county the same as Pearl Harbor. Please continue to raise this issue, do not let it swept under the rug, do not let it go. We have been attacked, we must acknowledge this and be prepared for more attacks to ensure this never happens again.

I just want him to know, even if we don't live in his state, many of us approve of his questions and actions on this matter.
