states approved it, then it could happen. I don't think anyone wants to go down that rabbit hole.

The only thing that would qualify him a great were if he were to adopt the policies of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

6. He could publicly repudiate his own victory and *call* for a new election.

No one could stop him from doing that.

After that...well, it's all a fantasy anyway. If we were writing a novel there would be ways, I suppose.

8. In other words, he and Pence could resign, but that would make Paul Ryan POTUS..

Repudiating his victory would do nothing.

The only thing that could possibly cause a new election, was discussed in a Tom Clancy book, and the program "Designated Survivor" I have no desire to see something like that happen.

Edited to add: I am guessing you are referring to him doing this prior to the inauguration. Most likely what would happen, is Paul Ryan would ascend to the presidency, as President Obama is constitutionally obligated to leave office on January 20th. The Speaker of the House is third in line.

9. If he resigns, Pence is president - that is the only remedy in the Constitution

If Pence resigns, Ryan is president.

The succession follows the order of Vice President, Speaker of the House, President pro tempore of the Senate, and the cabinet, which currently has fifteen members, beginning with the Secretary of State.

Once Putin's Puppet is sworn in, we are stuck with the Republicans at the top of Congress and the thieves den he has appointed to his cabinet.

I can't get stoned enough to believe something like that would happen now.

Pence resigns, Trump is forced to appoint some semi-sane Republican as VP, then Trump is found to have been complicit and active in the Russian hacking and is impeached or forced to resign.

But I'm with you - I can't get stoned enough to believe something like that would happen now.

10. I still don't think he really wants to be POTUS. It was all a prank that got out of hand.

That said, he would never, ever in a million years put his ego aside and suggest a new election.
