Watching the live feed from the Lauderdale airport I noticed ...

three young white airport workers in yellow vests race toward a group of police officers, and safety. I also watched two African-American workers, wearing the exact same vests, approach the same area slowly, and with both hands behind their heads. I wonder why?

I've seen groups of people doing the traditional "hands up" slow walk towards cops too.

Don't jump to conclusions too early.

You can never have the luxury of disregarding the relevance of your own skin as it pertains to any situation that you'll find yourself in... If anything, having or not a persistent state of self-awareness as a black person could mean the difference between life and death.
