Is anyone surprised that Trumpco is the disaster we all feared and predicted?

As the MSM works overtime in their attempts to normalize the Orange Disaster, it is absolutely clear that Trump is living down to all the predictions made about what his being president would entail. Yes - even the most-cynical among us has to be abashed at the level of stupidity, childishness and cluelessness Trump displays every day and in every way, but basically, this is what we all knew was coming based on his election persona and style.

And it should come as no surprise to anyone that Congressional Rs have seized the opportunity presented them to install a once-and-forever anti-democratic operation of government that seeks to destroy any progressive influence in the running of this country. They are going for the whole shebang - a theocracy based on their interpretation of the make believe presented in the Buy-bull.

Does it matter that this is a recipe for disaster? Does it matter that our country is headed toward pariah status on the international stage? I fear the worst.

The time to stop Trump and the Rs was in November, and that didn't happen. If people can't be bothered to spend an hour voting they're certainly not going to spend the time, energy and money it takes to participate in demonstrations that are held more than a mile from their homes. They're not going to have the stick-with-it-ness to make phone calls and to write letters to their representatives. They're going to bend over and do their very best Kevin Bacon impersonation ("thank you sir. May I have another?&quot while taking no responsibility for the disaster they voted into office...and by disaster, I mean Trump and those R majorities in Congress.

We're fucked.
