(7,299 posts)insurance model that covers the sickest (pre-existing conditions) and lifts yearly and lifetime caps can sustain itself is to widen the insurance pool with the indidual mandate. The Republicans have not and will not come up with a viable alternative because they foolishly painted themselves into a political corner on the issue of the individual mandate.
