Three tweets in the last half hour:
The Democratic National Committee would not allow the FBI to study or see its computer info after it was supposedly hacked by Russia......
So how and why are they so sure about hacking if they never even requested an examination of the computer servers? What is going on?
Obviously upset by today's hearing and all the media attention on the hacking.
And probably trying to distract from the news about Woolsey quitting the transition team.

(789 posts)....But I swear, tRump's thoughts that emerge on Twitter are so jumbled and disjointed they're nearly impossible for a normal person to comprehend.
Just inferring based on what he blurts out here, but his internal mental dialog must be like sticking your head in a giant bee hive. No wonder the babble he comes out with is so damn bizarre.

(14,275 posts)The logic being that it would be possible to triangulate his location and execute an attack on him. Notice that no one has taken away Trump's phone. It baffles me why those around him are unable or unwilling to provide him with the best security in the world. For his own protection, I hope he is sending his tweets out through a courier service.

I can imagine ( ) Trump calling his servant into his bathroom and handing him a note and telling him to run down the hall and tweet this on a "secure" phone.

He obviously doesn't understand that leaking is the national sport of Washington.
WTF is he going to do when about 12 hours into his administration, every policy paper and position paper of his team is leaked??? He'll lose it -- he'll have to be restrained - - goddam but this is gonna be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(7,432 posts)He made his mark on the political scene by claiming that Obama's presidency was illegitimate.
Now his own presidency, by "virtue" of Russian hacking, is now being perceived as illegitimate.
This will stay with him.
As an aside, Thom Hartmann opined earlier today that, while Russian interference may have had an influence, Chris Kobach's voter registration "crosschecking" policy, adopted over several states, may have had a more concrete influence on the defeat of Clinton.

(10,829 posts)Ari Melber is sitting in for Lawrence O'Donnell and spoke with an intelligence officer who said Trump is basically running his own disinformation campaign. Against his own people. Us. He's willfully ignorant and appears to be purposeful in this anti-intelligence community mantra. Frum was also on and said Putin's purpose is beyond obvious--destabilize and weaken Western democracies, the US being the big enchilada. Having a willing puppet in the WH is a gift come true because Putin will, by default, be the world's most powerful leader after Don the Con's inauguration, pulling the strings here and throughout Europe. Ditch NATO, get rid of the UN and whip white nationalism into a frenzy.
It's working. No wonder those Russian officials were cheering and high-fiving after the election results came in. They won, bigly.
colorado_ufo
(5,734 posts)They were celebrating the victory that all their hard work of hacking and false news brought them.
Maybe Don the Con should be checking with Putin to see what he plans to do to replace Obamacare.
This was my fear since first hearing about his ties to Russia, beginning with his praise of Putin: Impossible though it may seem, I feared that our country - our democracy - would become under the control of a foreign power. Then it was Manafort. Then it just got worse and worse and worse - including Melania's father's ties to Russia and so much more.
Trump has a history of ignoring all the rules, and the power of the Executive will give give him an excuse to do whatever he wants, fully backed by a Republican Congress and probably a Supreme Court.
All our National secrets, our hard-gathered intelligence, our Treasury, everything - Wall Street, too - will be under Putin's guiding hand. Behind the scenes, most likely, but it will still be there.
I hope and pray that the CIA is using a timing factor to reveal its most important information. This is truly our only chance to either prevent Trump's taking the Oath of Office or to suffer immediate impeachment. Otherwise, once he assumes the office, he will be largely untouchable, as was Cheney and "W."
Trump is actually NOT stupid - he is highly intelligent. But he is largely uneducated, lacks empathy and a moral compass, has huge impulse control issues, and is under the control of his own ego, which leaves him very vulnerable to influence and open to making rash and grandiose decisions (which is probably one of the factors in his bankruptcies).
But never underestimate him - he is a master manipulator and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants and keep it.
Perhaps a third and fourth term?
